Mission Statement:

The Mission of The East Houston Civic Club is to improve the quality of life for all residents by providing a forum for sharing information, connecting neighbors, promoting activities and fostering civic involvement in our diverse community.

Our Vision and Values

We are a volunteer association striving to make our neighborhood a better place to live, with membership being open to everyone residing in or working in the East Houston Community, 77028 & 77078 zip codes.

We are responsive to our community’s needs through the relationships we build with our neighbors, neighborhood businesses, community organizations in the Settegast, Lakewood, Glenwood, Wood Glen, Verde Forest, area.

We operate as a conduit of information for our neighbors. By providing speakers at our meetings, and maintaining a membership e-mail list and web site, we keep our neighbors aware of city operations, community organizations and events and potential developments and changes in the neighborhoo
d.

We promote activities within our neighborhood, such as our annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon, Back to School Extravaganza, etc.

We offer an opportunity for neighbors to bring forth their concerns and problems, providing direction and connecting them to resources for further investigation of their issues.
